DAY ONE - Flight to Spain
Most international flights include meal and beverage service.

DAY TWO - Madrid Arrival/Toledo Homestay
Arrival Madrid. Join your courier for your exploration of Old Madrid. Later, view La Mancha landscapes as you head to Toledo, a unique blend of Christian, Moorish, and Jewish cultures.

YOUR MIDDLE CLASS HOST FAMILIES are selected and continually monitored by the resident city director of Linguatur Internacional, widely regarded as the most respected homestay organization in Spain today. Additionally, a native resident monitor works directly with each Organizing Teacher and their participants during their homestay, thus ensuring an extremely well coordinated, memorable experience. Host families live in the modern community of Nuevo Toledo, a few miles from Historic Toledo. Spanish is spoken in the homes. Participants room with one other group member of the same general language ability. Everyone receives a public transportation pass.

DAY THREE - Historic Toledo
Get acquainted with your host family as well as Nuevo Toledo practicalities: transportation, banks, shopping complexes, municipal pools, and civic auditorium. Later, it's Historic Toledo where you'll visit the Church of Santo Tomas, Cathedral, House and Museum of El Greco, and the old Synagogue.

DAY FOUR - Madrid Museums
Recall Spain's 16th century golden age as you tour the capital. Explore the Prado to admire the works of the renowned European artists. Next, stroll through El Retiro Park before visiting Reina Sofia. View its modern art collection, the most important piece being Picasso's Guernica.

DAY FIVE - Quijote Windmills
Enjoy a short panoramic drive to Consuegra and your tour of the famous Don Quijote Windmills, the Castle and an olive oil factory.

DAY SIX - Guided Adventures
Now that you're familiar with your new home, it?s time to explore Historic Toledo with your Guided Adventures: visit the traditional handicraft factories and sample some sumptuous sweets.

DAY SEVEN - Real Madrid Stadium & Palacio Real
On your return to Madrid, tour the Palacio Real, once the seat of the most powerful court in the world. Later, explore the Real Madrid Museum and Stadium.

DAY EIGHT - El Escorial & Segovia
Travel to El Escorial, the imposing monastery palace built by Philip II and the nearby Valley of the Fallen. Continue to Segovia to see the Roman aqueduct.

DAY NINE - Talavera de la Reina
Your short scenic drive will bring you to Talavera de la Reina, where the famous blue and yellow "talavera" tiles were first made. After visiting the Prado Basilica, Collegiate Church, and Ruiz de Luna Museum, enjoy shopping for your favorite pieces.
